A Polar Bear is a special type of bear. They are simply bears with a unique white color that cannot be created traditionally via Create-A-Toon. This special color can only be obtained during Christmas on December 24th by interacting with Doctor Surlee.

To create a polar bear, it must be during Christmas in which you can visit certain NPCs. Slappy was the first to give out the transformation for 48 hours, before he hosted The Great Snowball Fight in 2013. Due to Slappy's absence, Doctor Surlee now gives out the transformation while waiting for his package in the street of Toon-torial. Although this transformation is permanent, bears can still complete Just for Fun! ToonTasks for other Toon effects or purchase a Toon Rewrite from Clarabelle's Cattlelog.

  • Polar bears were first released on December 24, 2013.
  • Slappy was the first NPC to give out the polar bear transformation.
  • As part of Slappy's campaign for the Toon Council Presidential Elections (during Alpha), he offered polar bears. You had to find Slappy in the Toontown Central playground standing next to Toon Hall.
  • Bears are the only Toon species that can become white. They are also one of the only two species that can obtain a special color, alongside cats.
  • There is a similar effect like this for all Toons called the "No Color" and "Polar Toon" effect. These two effects are the same, but have a slight difference: they don't turn the laff meters white, and they don't last permanently.
  • There seem to be polar bear faces on some of the shop billboards in the streets of The Brrrgh.
  • Paula Behr, who offers the "Polar Toon" effect, is the only known NPC that is a polar bear. She received her white color from Slappy.
