The Toontown Rewritten Wiki is a community fan-site that was created since September 21, 2013. With 2,180 pages in mind, the wiki continues to expand with more Toontastic information than ever before. Thanks to the thousands of those pages created by users, there is always something new about Toontown worth learning about!
If you're interested in contributing to the wiki, consider signing up for an account here on FANDOM. The question is: Are YOU Toon Enough?
Does the Toontown Rewritten Team own this wiki?
While some people may believe that the Toontown Rewritten Team created the wiki, they actually didn't! Quite a few staff members, however, have visited the wiki and even volunteered to update some of our important pages when needed. Perhaps you may spot one of them when visiting the wiki one day!
Who are the brains behind the Toontown Rewritten Wiki?
The Toontown Rewritten Wiki was made possible because of TheGhostWalker, but also because of players like YOU. Many members of the Toontown community contribute to this wiki for one reason: To gather a huge chunk of information dedicated to the game we all know and love!
The Toontown Rewritten Wiki is maintained by a short band of users who have devotedly proven to be "Toon Enough" for the job of keeping the wiki in tip-top shape. These users are the administrators, followed by moderators and rollbacks.
Does the wiki have a set of rules to follow?
Of course! Toontown needs to stay clean for players of all ages, after all. Before contributing to the Toontown Rewritten Wiki, please visit our policy and take note of its counterparts that include information about vandalism, plagiarism, and media. Should a user fail to comply with the policy or its counterparts, consequences will apply to the user's account. Every user should make a good representation of our community by showing what it means it to be "Toon Enough".
Are there certain forms of editing that should be followed?
Our Manual of Style covers all the details on how we want our pages to look like. For example, every page should not be written in first or second person point of view. Correct spelling and grammar also always matter! Should a user fail to comply with the Manual of Style, consequences will apply to the user's account.
NOTE: The big thing that a lot of users may forget is that we want to add an emphasis on the importance of Toons and Cogs by capitalizing said terms.
How can I contribute to the wiki?
Boy, there is a lot of work that needs to be done. If we had to list every possible task that could be done, this very section would end up in the form of a lengthy essay. However, here are a few tidbits:
Notice the "stub" template on a page? Expand on it!
See a page lacking one image? Add one!
Every page should have at least one category
Give a page an accurate title when necessary
If that doesn't explain much, luckily we have the state-of-the-art "Community" page that can get users started. There is also a list of tasks straight from our very own community.
The Toontown Wiki already has all the information and media about the game. Why can't those things transfer over to here?
The greatest thing about the Toontown Rewritten Wiki (as well as Toontown Rewritten) is that it is essentially a rewritten version of an older product. Although the Toontown Wiki may have all the information already put together, the Toontown Rewritten Wiki strives to do things differently. Toontown Rewritten is a remake of a game that was shut down by Disney in September 19, 2013, which calls for a good chance of new features, new events, and changes to certain functions of the game that may not have existed in Toontown Online.
On top of that, taking the same exact information word-for-word off of the Toontown Wiki would be plagiarism, which is a violation of our policy. Uploading videos and images off of the Toontown Wiki is also unacceptable. By contributing to the Toontown Rewritten Wiki, we hope that you consider taking the time and effort to produce information and media of your own without the need of simply copying.
Can I discuss about anything that is unrelated to Toontown?
Feel free to hop into the chat room to discuss with other users about any subject, as long as it is appropriate and family-friendly. Refrain from using inappropriate language, and avoid controversial topics such as politics.
Can I request help related to the wiki or the game?
Sure thing! Please do not create a page, but instead create a blog post or visit the Forum. Pages are meant to cover information based on the fictional world of Toontown Rewritten.
