The Toontown Rewritten Wiki wrote several policies that every user must follow before contributing. On the right are links to other departments of the site policy that users must also follow. Violating one of the policies will result in a caution before a certain number of blocks are issued, depending on how severe the first case scenario is. If a user has severely violated the policy, they may be subject to a lengthy or permanent block instead of a caution.

Keep in mind that the majority of the rules here at the Toontown Rewritten Wiki are very similar to Toontown Rewritten in order to maintain a kid-friendly community. It is highly recommended to seek the "Terms of Service" page before playing Toontown Rewritten.

General

Mouse running

This section details the common and general rules.

  • Do not cause drama or upset the general peace of the wiki. In other words, do not attempt to troll or act extremely rude.
  • Do not vandalize. For more information on vandalism, see here.
  • No images, text, signatures, statements, or usernames that imply you work for Disney or any other company or organization.
  • Do not "badge hunt" by continuously editing poorly to gain badges. All edits should be made in good faith.
  • Do not express opinions about a certain Toontown subject in a disrespectful manner.
  • Any subject unrelated to Toontown, especially ones that are deemed inappropriate, is not permitted in public eye. Should a user use the chat room, any form of communication must be appropriate.
  • Do not use the wiki at an attempt of gaining someone's personal information.
  • Do not impersonate an individual on the wiki, such as a staff member from the Toontown Rewritten Team.
  • Do not create a page (excluding user pages) about your Toon. If you would like to share information about your Toon, we suggest creating a blog post, creating a post on the forum, or hopping onto the chat room to discuss with other users.
    • In addition, you should never create a page for any purpose of announcing a specific event run by players. The only exception from this is ARGs and official events conducted by Toontown Rewritten.
      • Blog posts and forum posts are a good way to create announcements. Consider also visiting toonhq.org to view invasions and a group tracker for players who progress their Toons daily.
  • Illegal content is never permitted at Toontown Rewritten Wiki.
  • Only American English should be used when editing. Both American English and British English are allowed for communication purposes.

Toontown Wiki

In general, copying the same exact work from another product without explicit permission is considered plagiarism. This section of rules were written in order to ensure that both the Toontown Rewritten Wiki and the Toontown Wiki are equally different from each other while maintaining the same subject. However, making certain references or citing sources related to Disney's Toontown Online are acceptable.

  • Do not upload images from Toontown Wiki.
  • Do not upload videos from Toontown Wiki.
  • Do not write information word-for-word from Toontown Wiki to use on pages, categories, or templates.
